We are now looking for a Group Tax Manager to join our journey. The Skanska Group Tax Function is a small headquartered team in a large group with approximately 25 tax professionals in 11 countries. Group Tax has the overall responsibility of securing tax compliance and tax reporting on parent company level, as well as supporting the subsidiaries with tax advice and guidance in light of the Group Tax Policy and regulatory frameworks including, but not limited to, transfer pricing documentation, DAC 6, Country-by-Country Reporting, and Pillar II implementation. We assume a pragmatic approach and improve our processes continuously.

The work will be conducted at the Skanska HQ in Stockholm, in close cooperation with the Head of Group Tax. The team is part of the Group Function Reporting & Accounting.

About the role

As a Group Tax Manager at Skanska you will work to continuously improve the efficiency and robustness of our tax affairs while securing that Skanska acts in compliance with ever-changing tax rules and regulations. You will support HQ Group Functions and Business Units throughout the Group, both in Sweden and abroad, in various tax related matters. On a frequent basis, you will engage with tax advisors to secure the quality of our work.

Main tasks include

  • Analyzing and communicating the impact of tax law changes, both nationally and internationally,

  • Managing Tax Audits and have contact with the Swedish Tax Authority,

  • Tax calculations and preparation of corporate income tax returns for Skanska AB and other central entities,

  • Driving group-wide tax projects, such as implementation of Tax Policy, new routines for complying with EU directives and/or domestic legislation and improvement of quarterly reporting,

  • Providing tax advice and support to Business Units across the Group.

  • Being responsible for parent company Transfer Pricing documentation including Group Master File,

  • Compiling annual, quarterly and ad hoc tax reports summarizing tax position of the Skanska Group, including analysis of group effective tax rate and taxes in the balance sheet, and

  • Coordinating international tax initiatives across the group such as the Skanska Tax Summit and quarterly Digital Tax Meetings.

Required skills and experiences

The right candidate has a relevant University degree in law and/or business administration and has at least 3 years relevant experience from working with taxes in-house, at the Big4, tax advisory firm, law firm or at the Swedish Tax Agency. While Swedish and international corporate tax is at the core of what we do, we will also consider candidates with work experience limited to Transfer Pricing or VAT, seeking to broaden their expertise in corporate tax.

In order to be successful in this role you need to be a driven and pragmatic problem solver with a hands-on approach. You are confident, have strong cooperation/stakeholder management skills and feel comfortable with driving and coordinating cross-function/cross-border projects. Also, you are an easy-going and non-prestigious person with strong communicational and networking skills. You are fluent in both Swedish and English.
